How to download IGI-2 Covert Strike (v1.2)? −
You must purchase IGI-2 Covert Strike from an official distributor such as GOG.com. We do not provide or host any game downloads.
How to install IGI-2 Covert Strike on your PC? +
To install the game, first purchase and download it from an official source such as GOG.com. Run the official installer provided after purchase and follow the on-screen instructions. No extraction tools are required for the official version.
How to play IGI-2 Multiplayer? +
Homecoming launched a new project on the Homecoming website called HcLauncheR. With that, you can easily play IGI2 multiplayer — install the launcher and connect to multiplayer using your legally owned copy of the game.
Why is IGI-2 multiplayer not working? +
This usually happens due to missing game version (v1.2), firewall blocking, or outdated HcLauncheR. Make sure your game is updated and allow the launcher through Windows Firewall.
Why is my server not showing in HcLauncheR? +
Your server may not appear if the port is closed or you are using a private IP. Only VPS servers with public IP and open ports are supported.
How to fix HcLauncheR not opening? +
Try running the launcher as administrator, reinstall it, or disable antivirus temporarily if it blocks the application.
What is HcLauncheR? +
HcLauncheR is a Homecoming Project developed by SNIPER. It helps players play IGI-2 Multiplayer easily. HcLauncheR is a lightweight software that’s easy to download and install, and works on all kinds of Windows OS — even low-end PCs. It includes features like login system, name change requests, 24/7 contact support, server hosting.
How to download and install HcLauncheR? +

Download:

Install:

After download, extract HcLauncheR.zip and run HcLauncheR.msi Windows installer file. Click “Next” and browse to your installation folder (recommended: IGI2-Covert Strike\pc). Choose “Just me” (recommended), then click “Next” again to start installation. Click “Yes” when prompted for admin privilege. Once installed successfully, click “Close” to exit — that’s it!

How to update HcLauncheR? +
HcLauncheR will automatically notify you when an update is available — no need to check manually. When the popup shows, click “OK” to update. If you click “Cancel”, the update will be skipped. Follow the same installation steps as before.
How to change your multiplayer name in HcLauncheR? +
You can request a name change in HcLauncheR after using it actively for one month. To do this: open HcLauncheR → go to the Help menu → choose Request → Name Change form → fill all details correctly to avoid failure.
How to host IGI-2 server in HcLauncheR? +
Hosting an IGI-2 server using HcLauncheR is simple:
Open HcLauncheR → go to Help → click Host Your Server or press Ctrl + S to open the hosting form.

Fill the required details:

👉 Multiplayer Name: Your game name (e.g. Jones)
👉 Email: Your email address
👉 Server IP: Your VPS public IP
👉 Server Port: Your open server port (e.g. 26001)
👉 Server Password: Optional (leave empty for public server)

After filling all details, click Send. Your server will appear in the server list if everything is configured correctly.

⚠️ Important: Only dedicated servers (VPS) are allowed. Local machine hosting (using your own PC IP) will NOT work and will not be listed.

✅ Supported:
👉 Any VPS or Dedicated Server (with public IP & open port)

❌ Not Supported:
👉 Local machine hosting (your own PC IP)
👉 Private/LAN IP addresses (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x)
👉 Servers with closed or blocked ports

⚠️ Note: Make sure your server port is properly open and accessible, otherwise your server will not be visible.
